Bleeding into the intracranial or spinal subarachnoid space, most resulting from intracranial aneurysm rupture. It can occur after traumatic injuries (subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic). Clinical features include headache; nausea; vomiting, nuchal rigidity, variable neurological deficits and reduced mental status.
