I came up with CPT 45111. I am assuming the anastomosis and takedown can not be coded separately & are included in the resection. we use 44145 if it was open, or 44207 if done laparoscopically. and yes you can use the mobilization codes 44139 or 44213 with no modifier since these are add on codes.
2018/2019 ICD-10-PCS Procedure Code 0DTN0ZZ. Resection of Sigmoid Colon, Open Approach. 2016 2017 2018 2019 Billable/Specific Code. ICD-10-PCS 0DTN0ZZ is a specific/billable code that can be used to indicate a procedure.
We've also always used 44145/44207 & 44213/44139 for L.A.Resects - it's the rectosigmoid colon that's removed, generally.
For coding purposes it is still considered laparoscopic, therefore code 44204 is correct. I would also consider billing 58662. You must log in or register to reply here.

HAL sigmoid colectomy combines the advantages of laparoscopic (minimally invasive) as well as that of conventional open surgery with restoration of tactile feedback sensation, safe finger dissection and rapid control of bleeding accidents.
A colectomy is an operation to remove part or all of your colon. It's also called colon resection surgery. In the Digestive numeric section, upon review of the codes, 44207 represents a partial colectomy with anastomosis and coloproctostomy performed laparoscopically.
Hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery is an alternative laparoscopic approach in which a minilaparotomy is planned and performed to enable the surgeon to introduce his or her hand while the pneumoperitoneum is maintained and the dissection maneuvers are performed under videoendoscopic control.
The correct code will be 44204.
