Continuing education credit also is available for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) coding certification. It is the intent and stated policy of the AAOMS Committee on Healthcare Policy, Coding and Reimbursement (CHPCR) that doctors are ultimately responsible for accurate coding. Therefore, it is strongly encouraged doctors participate or attend the courses with their coding and billing staff.
