B-Type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) - BNP is increased in congestive heart failure, left ventricular hypertrophy, acute myocardial infarction, coronary angioplasty, and hypertension.

Collection Instructions

Collect specimen in a plastic EDTA (lavender-top) tube. Centrifuge tube and separate plasma into a plastic specimen transport tube within 1 hour. Freeze plasma immediately.
