Afluria is a vaccine that is used to prevent the effects of influenza virus.
AFLURIA SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE is an inactivated influenza vaccine indicated for active immunization against influenza disease caused by influenza virus subtypes A and type B present in the vaccine. AFLURIA SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE is approved for use in persons 6 months of age and older.

Afluria Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine 2022 Seqirus's Afluria Quadrivalent is an inactivated egg-based influenza vaccine designed to protect against four different flu viruses, including two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. Afluria Quadrivalent is an influenza vaccine for people 6 months and older.
BRAND NAME(S): Afluria, Fluarix, Flublok, Flulaval, Fluvirin, Fluzone. USES: This medication is used to prevent infection by the influenza ("flu") virus. It is also called the seasonal flu shot.
The virus in the vaccine is not live and therefore cannot give you “the flu”. The vaccine will not, however, protect against other influenza viruses that Afluria Quad™ does not contain. Afluria Quad™ vaccine can be administered by a doctor, nurse or trained pharmacist, as an injection into the muscle or under the skin.
